VA large number of modern industrial plants are endangered by technological explosions related to the occurrence of explosive atmosphere of flammable liquids, gases and vapors. It is the responsibility of the owner / user of such facilities to carry out an explosion risk assessment.
INEL – MONTAŽA, as part of its activities, offers complete support in conducting risk assessment, which includes:
- classification of the hazardous area according to HRN EN IEC 60079-10-1 and HRN EN IEC 60079-10-2, international recommendations, Croatian and international branch regulations, etc.
- analysis of ignition sources according to HRN EN IEC 1127
- assessment of the acceptability of electrical equipment (power and instrumentation) according to the set of standards HRN EN IEC 60079
- assessment of the acceptability of non-electrical equipment (e.g. mechanical equipment) according to the set of standards HRN EN 80079
- analysis and assessment of electrical installations (power and instrumentation) according to HRN EN IEC 60079-14 and the HRN EN 60364 set of standards
Furthermore, INEL – MONTAŽA also offers the following services in the field of explosion protection:
- erection of the plants and installation of Ex equipment
- measurement and testing of electrical installations in Ex areas (HRN EN IEC 60079-14, HRN EN IEC 60079-17 and HRN EN 60364)
- maintenance of Ex equipment and installations (HRN EN IEC 60079-17)
- repair of Ex equipment (HRN EN 60079-19)
- checkup/review of the documentation and plant/facility and assessment of Ex protection (Ex-Screening)
- preparation for technical supervision of the Sector for Explosive Atmospheres of the Ministry of the Interior’s Directorate of Civil Protection (which took over the responsibilities of the former Ex-Agency)
- elimination of deficiencies identified by the technical supervision of the Sector for Explosive Atmospheres

- specialist education in the field of Ex protection (Ex seminars)
- consulting in the field of explosion protection
- review of project documentation and issuing an expert opinion related to the designed Ex protection measures and preparation of documentation which eliminates deficiencies (if identified)
- other services in the field of Ex protection at the client’s request
INEL – MONTAŽA is under the technical supervision of the Sector for Explosive Atmospheres of the Ministry of the Interior’s Directorate of Civil Protection (which has taken over the responsibilities of the former Ex-Agency) for the activities of:
- installation, measurement and testing (TN-IN)
- maintenance (TN-OD)
- repair (TN-PO)
INEL – MONTAŽA also has a HREx Q Certificate issued by the Sector for Explosive Atmospheres of the Ministry of the Interior’s Directorate of Civil Protection (which took over the responsibilities of the former Ex-Agency), confirming that INEL – MONTAŽA has all the necessary human and technical resources and has successfully completed its work IN, OD and PO in explosive atmospheres and prepared appropriate supporting documentation.

INEL - INSTALLATION employees have the necessary education, expertise and training and extensive experience in the construction of facilities and facilities, maintenance and implementation of technical tests.
